One of the things that made me become a member of Doerscircle was actually the transparency and the benefits and products that they were able to offer me as an entrepreneur in a foreign country
Kristina (00:00):
You knew you were covered in some way. But it's very very difficult for foreigners to find out exactly what's included and what's not.
Kristina (00:10): My name is Kristina, and I'm from Denmark. I moved to Singapore in November 2009. When we first arrived in Singapore, we were very much focused on the maritime segment. But a few months later, the pandemic hit the country and a lot of operations were shut down. This actually accelerated the need for what we do in Riverr, which is working with health credentials and verifiable credentials. So coming from a country like Denmark, we have a very high tax level, which means our health care, and all our insurance are usually included as well.
It is very transparent and easy to find out what you need, both workwise, and also for your private life. So coming to Singapore, was a challenge in the beginning, because we don't have the same transparency here. It is very difficult to find out what's actually included in the insurance policies here. So in the beginning, when we came here, we got referred to an insurance agency that helped us out in the beginning. But as I mentioned, it was very difficult to actually find out what was included in you. We knew we were covered in some way, but it's very very difficult for foreigners to find out exactly what's included and what's not.
One of the things that made me become a member of Doerscircle was actually the transparency and the benefits and products that they were able to offer me as an entrepreneur in a foreign country, especially their insurance packages. They were very nice and easy to navigate for me and my founding team as well, to know that you're covered. And this is something that we've been there getting through Doerscircle.
